Copyright and Third-Party Materials Statement
This document explains how Advance.hr approaches copyright, the use of third-party materials, and the procedure for removing content in the event of an unintentional copyright infringement, including the obligation to remove disputed material within 24 hours of receiving a valid notice.
1. Introduction
Advance.hr respects copyright and strives to use textual, visual, and other materials in accordance with applicable legislation and licensing terms. This document explains our principles regarding the use of third-party materials and the procedure followed in the event of a potential copyright infringement.
2. Original Content
Most content published on Advance.hr, including articles, analyses, and commentaries, is the original work of our journalists and contributors and is protected by copyright. Copying, reproduction, or distribution without permission is not permitted, except within the limits allowed by law.
3. Use of Images and Third-Party Materials
When selecting images and other visual materials, we apply the following principles:
- we use materials for which we pay a license fee
- we use materials clearly marked as being in the public domain or under a license that permits their use
- we rely on sources that state the material is free to use, such as “public domain” or “free for commercial use”
- where possible, we cite the source or author when known and applicable
Despite our care, it is possible that material may have been incorrectly labeled by the original provider or that the license may have subsequently changed.
4. Unintentional Copyright Infringement
If material is published on Advance.hr without an appropriate license or contrary to copyright rules, such use is unintentional. In such cases, we act in good faith and promptly remove the disputed content upon receiving a valid notice from the rights holder.
5. Content Takedown Procedure
Copyright holders who believe that their content has been unintentionally used on Advance.hr may contact us through the official email address [email protected]. To allow us to respond as quickly as possible, please include the following information in your message:
- a link to the disputed content on Advance.hr
- a description of the material you believe infringes your rights
- proof or a statement that you are the rights holder or an authorized representative
After receiving complete information, we undertake to remove the disputed material within 24 hours, unless further verification of the circumstances of use is necessary.
6. Good Faith and Cooperation
Advance.hr acts in good faith and seeks to avoid any copyright infringement. We are prepared to cooperate with rights holders so that any disputes can be resolved amicably, without unnecessary escalation. Our goal is to respect the work of other authors just as we respect the work of our own contributors.
7. Responsibility for External Sources
The portal may contain links to external websites where images or other materials are available under various licenses. The owners of those websites, not Advance.hr, are responsible for their content. We recommend that users check the terms of use directly on the original websites.
8. Changes to the Document
This document may be updated from time to time to reflect changes in legislation, licensing practices, or editorial procedures. The latest version will always be available on this page.
